The Experience
Have you ever imagined soaring from the top of a mountain with an eagle’s eye view? Or envisioned a new way of exploring mountain terrain without leaving a trace of your journey behind? If so, let your imagination become reality and come experience the thrill and beauty of BC Flightlines, Boulder City’s newest eco-adventure, located at the base of Red Mountain.

If you don’t know what zip-lines is, think zip-lines for simplicity’s sake, a term most people are more familiar with and you might get the basic picture. However, there is nothing simple about BC Flightlines. Suspended from cables and comfortably sitting in a para-gliding harness, you travel from point to point by flying over the desert ecosystem from the top of Red Mountain. Instead of hiking or cycling down the trails, you are exploring the mountain from an aerial trail. Add to that some of the safest new patented technology, impressive distances, spectacular views, and highly qualified guides, and you have BC Flightlines, the only aerial trails system in Nevada.

Discover breathtaking views of Las Vegas, Lake Mead, and the Eldorado Valley, while our eco-tourism guides take you on an interpretive journey over the desert ecosystem.

All of this for only $149.

FAQs

What are the age restrictions for the BC Flightlines Adventure?
There are no age restrictions for the adventure tour, however each tour participant will be required to sign a waiver, and will be hiking a little from the launch/landing pads, so children under the age of 12 are not recommended.

Is there a weight restriction on the Flightlines?
Yes. You must be between 75 lbs and 250lbs to take this adventure. Because the flightlines rely on the concept of gravity, a person’s weight determines how fast they descend into the landing pad.

What is the proper attire/clothing to wear for the BC Flightlines?
Casual clothing is recommended. You will be flying over a canyon, so please make sure you have no loose items on your person, as they may be lost. Tennis shoes or hiking shoes are highly recommended. Sandals, slippers, flats, cowboy boots, or high heals are STRONGLY discouraged.

What days of the week are the Flightlines open?
The BC Flightlines are open seven (7) days a week.

How long is the adventure tour?
The whole event takes approximately 2 1/2 hours to complete.

Can I take photos/video of my adventure?
Yes (with restrictions). Please be advised that our number one priority on the Flightlines is your safety. It is critical that guests be able to focus on directions from their guide which can be difficult when also trying to take a photo or video. If you can safely take a photo or video of your adventure (with a helmet cam, for example), and still be able to follow your guide's directions, please do so. In the future, BC Flightlines will have a system in place to capture video of your descent, and will make it available to you for sale upon completion of your adventure tour. This system however is currently in the planning stages.

Should I tip my tour guides?
Of course tips are not mandatory, but your tour guides do work very hard to ensure you are safe and that you have a great time so they do appreciate any gratuity.

Where are you located?
We are located in boulder city, Nevada. 25-30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.

We provide bottles of water for every guest, however, if you would like to bring your own you are welcome to.

Please call BC Canyon Flightlines office to speak to a staff member (702)-293-6885

About Greenheart LLC

The Aerial Trails or Flightlines project is owned and operated by Greenheart, LLC (“Greenheart”), an eco-tourism company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Greenheart has a strong history of designing, fabricating and installing canopy walkways, Flightlines and aerial trekking adventures around the world. Greenheart LLC has projects in countries such as Guyana, Haiti, Brazil, Panama, Ghana, Belize, the U.S. and Canada. With each of these projects, Greenheart has been committed to promoting and protecting nature while implementing systems that support and sustain economies.

In line with the eco-tourism mandate of “conserving the environment and sustaining the well being of the local community”, Greenheart is developing relationships with local conservation companies and Boulder City to create a sustainable low impact recreation area that will provide for itself and bring new money into the economy.

The aerial trails are designed to have very little impact on the environment when operational. The towers that you see on the mountain will soon be painted to match the color of the surrounding landscape, and any traces of construction will be repaired and replanted. Because you only walk on the ground at the beginning and end of each line, there is very little impact on the desert over the length of the trails.

The ongoing development of the BC Flightlines project includes the building of a sustainable Interpretive Center near the desert park with plans to break ground and begin construction later this year.

Greenheart would like to thank Brent Thomson, former Mayor Bob Ferraro, Mayor Roger Tobler, Roger Hall, Vicki Mayes, Brok Armantrout, Mike Pacini, Jill Rowland-Lagan, Andrea Anderson, Harold Begley, Dave Olsen, Patty Sullivan, Rod Woodbury, Rose Ann Rabiola Miele, Eldorado Rock, DuPont Engineering, and the many others in Boulder City who have played a major role in making this project a reality.
